March 1st is The American Heart Associations Go Red for Women Event here in Anchorage! The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke.
Go Red For Women encourages women and their families to take action and live a healthier life.
Heart Disease #1 Killer
Did you know Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. That’s approximately one woman every minute! Go Red is a great opportunity to spread awareness of heart disease as well as an opportunity for individuals to share their stories on how heart disease has affected them and their families.
Expo and Luncheon
The Expo includes free health screenings, red carpet photos, a live auction and various local vendors will be onsite. This year’s luncheon keynote speaker is Amber Thiel. She is the CEO and Co-Founder of The Healthy Edge, an International Speaker, Author, Personal Trainer and Former College Professor of Human Nutrition. It’s sure to be an amazing event!
